How did you spend the 30th of September, the International Translation Day, which is celebrated every year on the feast of St. Jerome, the Bible translator who is considered as the patron saint of translators? In 1991 was launched the idea of an officially recognised International Translation Day to show solidarity of the worldwide translation community in an effort to promote the translation profession in different countries. This is an opportunity to display pride in a profession that is becoming increasingly essential in the era of progressing globalisation.
Were you too busy to celebrate and to share the feelings of pride and happiness with other colleagues? I understand!
Wish you 365 busy (translators) days till the next special day for all translators!
