Translation project management implies management of the implementation of large, complex and demanding translation projects which include the engagement of the project manager and coordination of multidisciplinary teams of translators. The project manager is responsible for the implementation of the project and he or she represents the interface for the communication between the client and the team of translators. All clients' requests (a request to use specific glossaries and terminology, a request for specific services, changes of deadlines, etc.) are forwarded by the project manager to the team of translators and his or her engagement is essential to maintain the quality of project realization at the highest level. The project manager coordinates all activities related to the project, what includes the following: - Communication with the client and defining commercial terms,
- Receiving and analyzing the materials,
- Choosing a translator and forming an appropriate team of translators who will work on the project realization,
- Allocating the materials to certain members of the translators' team,
- Coordination of activities within the team of translators,
- Delivery of translated materials.
Upon the implementation of the project, the project manager provides client support.
